DOT / HazMat Transportation Awareness
(HM-126F Title 49 Subpart, 172.700)

This course is designed for the employee who is directly involved with hazardous materials transportation safety and procedures, i.e., anyone who: *loads, unloads or handles hazardous materials *manufactures, tests, reconditions, repairs, modifies, marks or otherwise represents containers, drums or packaging as qualified for use in the transportation of hazardous materialsprepares hazardous materials for transportation
  • prepares hazardous materials transportation documents
  • operates a vehicle used to transport hazardous materials
    • This one-day class provides an awareness-level knowledge of the transportation of hazardous materials in compliance with Subchapter C of Title 49. Topics covered are recognition of hazardous materials, hazard communication, familiarization with hazardous materials regulations, emergency response rules and an overview of the shipping requirements for hazardous materials. This course meets DOT requirements and the UPS HazMat training mandate.
