Required every 3 years.
Prerequisite: Strong working knowledge of DOT Hazmat Regulations or HM181.
This 8-hour course is designed to fulfill the 49 CFR 172 Subpart H requirement for recurrent training at least once every three years. Students are updated with regulatory changes and are given refresher training in the use and application of the 49 CFR manual. Other topics covered include: hazardous materials identification, marking and labeling requirements, shipping paper documentation, placarding requirements and emergency response rules. One copy of the enhanced Title 49 regulation book is provided to each student and is included in the price of the class ($62 value). This course meets DOT requirements and the UPS HazMat training mandate.
